You Are Under the Tutelage of Grace

“For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.” — Romans 6:14 NKJV

Have you met a Christian who struggles with committing to God’s principles? Most of the time, it’s because such a person tries to live by God’s standards using his human strength and calculations. That’s why it’s common to see them fail.

In Christ, you are under the tutelage of grace, not some sect of laws to obey or spiritual habits to commit to. By saying this, I mean God hasn’t saved you to make you live unto Him by your strength. It’s His grace that is responsible for empowering you to live like Jesus. So if you see any child of God living well and doing many exploits for God’s kingdom, it’s not because he’s special. It’s by God’s grace at work in His life.

Can I give you some good advice today? Don’t try to help God do what He has decided to do for you. Before you came to Christ, He had already made grace available for you. And that grace is so powerful that it has the capacity to enable you to deny all manner of ungodliness (see Titus 2:12).

If you’re struggling with any secret sin today, I challenge you to submit to God in prayer and let His grace take charge of your life. You’ll see the difference this will make for you.

You’re a blessing.

Prayer:

Father, I choose to submit every area of my life for Your grace to work for me. I refuse to mechanise my relationship with you with sets of dos and don’ts by my fleshly ways. Give me the anointing to do everything according to Your ways. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
