You Are Already Seedful In God

[28] “Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” — Genesis 1:28 NKJV

Did you know you’re already seedful in God, whether you’re born again or not? Let me break it down. All the seeds — gifts, talents, abilities and potential — to do everything God brought you into this world to do, are already in you.

In Genesis 1:28, after God created man, He didn’t say “Go and bear your seed.” He said, “Be fruitful.” No tree wasn’t first a seed. Even if its mode of reproduction wasn’t the seed, it was still not like that during its growth stages as a young plant. That tree had in it, the ability to become mighty. It’s only time and growth process that delayed it.

Therefore, if God has charged us to be fruitful, then He has already placed seeds of eternity in us – and even Solomon confirmed it in Ecclesiastes 3:11.

However, it’s only in Christ that you’ll realise who you are because you’re not who God created you to be until you get born again. That’s why Jesus terms such people as “the lost.”

In order to understand your true potential, go to the Master for revelation, not the government, friends or even parents. God knows what’s in you, including the things you don’t even know that you can do. So when you approach Him to understand your identity, He’s most likely to connect you to organisations, workplaces or people who’ll place a demand on you to do things that’ll bring out your potential to bear.

For example, I didn’t know I could write till I started writing. The potential was in me, yet dormant until I harnessed it.

Just because God has placed great potentials in you doesn’t mean they’ll get developed automatically. It doesn’t work like that. Harness your potential to expand God’s kingdom. And God will keep adding more because of your consistency and faithfulness.

Lord, connect me to people, organisations, ministries and places that’ll bring up all the potential You’ve placed in me as seeds to develop. So as to fulfil my destiny in power. In the name of Jesus. Amen!
