What It Takes To Draw Our Purposes From Our Hearts

[5] “The purposes of a person’s heart are deep waters, but one who has insight draws them out.” — Proverbs 20:5 NIV

In Ecclesiastes 3:11, the preacher speaks of how God has placed a sense of purpose in each person’s heart. That’s why everyone has deep-seated desires in the heart that no earthly thing can satisfy. And that’s where God steps in. The desires God gives to a man are met by Himself alone.

But of what essence is it to have desires in your heart unmet forever? Even God, who wants all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth (see 1 Timothy 2:4), works at fulfilling that desire each day when He sends people out to preach the Word. So how much more we?

In Proverbs 20:5, God inspired Solomon to pen down what it takes to draw out our purposes from our hearts. That is, by insight. Other versions translate it as ‘understanding.’

It takes insight to bring the desires of God in you to physical manifestation. And this is why every person who lives on purpose and does big things in this world for Christ doesn’t lack intellectual property for his work.

Study to develop your insight into bringing what God placed in you to pass, and you’ll see successes. Remember that nothing is too difficult to do. You only need insight, which will transform you and give you good managerial skills for the resources at hand to fulfil your purpose.
