The Heat of Living A Visionary Life

“Woe to you who are at ease in Zion, And trust in Mount Samaria, Notable persons in the chief nation, To whom the house of Israel comes!” — Amos 6:1 NKJV

People living on purpose are very scarce in our generation. However few they may be, they know it takes a lot of grace, energy and works to follow God’s plan for their lives. I’m inclusive, and I know what I’m saying.

I never knew God leading me to start The Bible Daily Network way back in 2018 would shift how I live, what I use my time for and the things I do. I realised that everybody has twenty-four hours a day, but purposeful living will make you expend that time effectively.

The Bible says in Amos 6:1 that “Woe to you who are at ease in Zion…”. That is to say that it’s an error to be in Christ [Zion – the city of the living God (Hebrews 12:22)] and still remain lazy. Why? Because God is your source. And when you’re in Him, He gives you a vision and meaningful things to do that brings out the best in you.

Jesus never teaches anyone to be irresponsible. Yes, it’s good to pray. Yes, it’s also good to study the Bible. But worshipping God isn’t only about these two. Christ must fill all things in your life.

Jesus never teaches anyone to be irresponsible

If you don’t know why God brought you onto this earth, it’s time to go back to Him to reveal your purpose to you; so that you’ll not live a haphazard life, even as a Christian. But if you know yours and are doing it, I guess you oftentimes encounter the heat of living a visionary life in your days. That is to tell you that the battle isn’t physically easy but divinely effortless. Working with a vision in focus is great but comes with many responsibilities.

Continue pressing on. Don’t be too busy to skip prayers. Don’t be too lazy to love sleep. Wake up, child of God. Be in fellowship with Jesus, and continue living a life of vision. You’ll see that your life will be way different from normal.

You’re a blessing.

Prayer

Lord, even though I encounter the heat of living a visionary life, I pray today for strength, agility, wisdom and divine enablement to fulfil my divine mandate in Jesus’ name. Amen.
