Run into God’s Name

[10] “The name of the LORD is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe.” — Proverbs 18:10 NKJV

In my first year in the university, I saw a similar signpost on each hall I entered. Inscribed on it were the words “Emergency Assembly Point.” I wondered why the school authorities instituted that system. But later on, a senior told me that students would have to gather there in case something bad happens to the hall room that can damage many things. Later, I read Proverbs 18:10 and saw that the name of the Lord is a strong tower. And for that sake, it provides safety whenever the righteous run into it. That means God’s name isn’t mere words. It’s a realm of divine security. Glory to God!

I’ve seen testimonies of people calling on the name “Jesus” whenever something evil is just about to happen to them, and they get saved, especially in car accidents. I’ve seen thieves run away when the people they tried attacking started speaking in tongues. All these things prove what scripture has said. That is, the name of the Lord is not just a house but a strong tower. Meaning, it’s a stand-alone security post that no evil can penetrate to harm you when you live in consciousness of Him. That is why you must not be afraid in life – whether day or night because the Lord is your light and your salvation.

Are you feeling insecure because of something bad happening in your life? Run into God’s name. He’ll give you unbeatable security against all harm. Nevertheless, as a child of God, be conscious of how powerful God’s name is, and you shall walk without fear.

You’re a blessing.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for the blessed security that is in Your holy name. I call on You, God, to have Your way in all my life’s endeavours. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
