By“Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity.” — Colossians 4:5 NLT
It’s true that Jesus has committed unto us the Word of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:18) and that we’re supposed to turn many unto righteousness. But He knows there will be situations where some believers will live with unbelievers, sometimes under the same roof. So God, through the Holy Spirit, inspired Paul to teach the Colossian church, and now to us, that we should live wisely among unbelievers.
It takes wisdom to live with people who don’t share your faith. At times, this affects marriages, whereby one spouse is saved, and the other is not. If you’re in such a situation, note that such people watch your actions more than your words. Your life is like a living epistle to them, so you have to live well.
You don’t have to be hypocritical to please the unbelievers you may be living with in the same vicinity. Just live as you ought to live in consecration to God, and your godly way of living will impact them for Christ.
May the Lord strengthen you to impact nations for Jesus, starting from your home.

Prayer
Father, in the name of Jesus, I pray today, asking You for divine wisdom to live wisely among unbelievers I encounter each day so that they’ll be turned unto Your righteousness, lest they watch my life and despise your holy name. Amen!
