Being in Christ for over five years, I’ve seen a trend in several people’s lives. Anytime they brag about their achievements or what they’ve been able to do or change through their human efforts, they start going down. I asked myself why that usually happened. Then, the Lord showed me Philippians 2:13 (tap to read it).
You can do nothing divine or purposeful in Christ merely with your human strength. Even if that occurs, it’ll eventually fail because we live in an evil age (see Galatians 1:4), and nothing good consistently happens without God involved.
Never brag about anything you’ve achieved. If you get tempted to do that, repent and give credit to grace for your work.
Dear Christian, always recognise that it’s not about you but God working in you to produce everything you see in your life – whether it’s work, ministry, business, academic grades, etc. God is your Father. He’s your Source and sustainer. He provides the strength to do everything according to His purpose, including the desires that inspire such acts.
Let me show you a key to life. Never brag about anything you’ve achieved. If you get tempted to do that, repent and give credit to grace for your work. Moreover, don’t say, “I will do this, or I’m going to change that.” I assure you that if you keep doing it, you’ll not see a progression because you’ll put God aside as you do it. Instead, ask the Lord for grace to make such moves. Of a truth, there’s guaranteed success for whatever grace takes charge of.

Father, I choose to recognise Your grace upon my life that inspires me to do whatever You’ve called me to do. In You, I live, move and have my being. Help me fulfil my divine assignment. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
