By“Hope in the Lord and keep his way. He will exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are destroyed, you will see it.” — Psalms 37:34 NIV
There’s something unfortunate that is happening in this modern world. It’s wicked people having so many possessions while many children of God wallow in poverty and lack. Sometimes, I ask God, “Can’t heaven do something about this?” Later on, I stumbled on Psalm 37:34, which speaks about us, children of God, developing and maintaining hope in the Lord as He changes things through us.
Romans 8:19 says,
For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.
Romans 8:19 NIV
Now that means it’s through us that God will use to affect the evil systems of the world so that Jesus’ kingdom will spread throughout every facet of the world. That is the real meaning of dominion.
However, Psalm 37:34 continues to say after urging us to hope in the Lord that “…keep His way.” Thus, it’s paramount for every child of God to watch his life closely, making sure that nobody or no evil system in this world turns him away from the leadings of God; and I must say that it takes a lot of grace to do this.
Sometimes, you have to make uncommon decisions. Sometimes, you’d have to boycott popular opinions from people. Other times, you’d have to stop going for some meetings. All of these must be done only to ensure that you’ll stay the way of the Lord in life.
Don’t allow disassociation with people who don’t flow with your divine purpose to bring you discomfort. It’s a sacrifice to stay on God’s path, even if people disagree with you. Remember that God has the final say in your life, not popular opinions.
At the end of it all, there’s a promise that God will enable you to inherit the land (dispossess godly possession in the hands of wicked people.) Are you ready to see God exalt you? Stay faithful to His calling, and follow the Holy Spirit. He’ll take you higher.

Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank You for giving such a warm encouragement to hope in You and keep Your way. Help me stay faithful to my calling as I wait upon You and follow Your leading all the days of my life.
