“Two are better than one, Because they have a good reward for their labor.” — Ecclesiastes 4:9 NKJV

When Jesus came to the world, He was impacting a lot of people with eternal life. Nevertheless, I never saw it written in the scriptures that He ever complained to the Father about how laborious the work of the ministry is. The last time He realized it, He told the disciples to pray for God to send labourers into the His vineyard (Matthew 9:37-38).

There are several ministers making an impact for Christ in this crooked generation. People seek them, thinking they always have time for everybody. But that isn’t true.

Many of these ministers are busy people. Why do I say this? Because the results they produce come from very tedious work which nobody out of their circle sees. They need help. People need what they have (the anointing) but don’t want to serve and be close to them. That’s a fallacy. Anybody who impacted numerous lives in the early church after Jesus left the earth was close to Him (whether physically or in constant spiritual fellowship).

In Ecclesiastes 4:9, the Bible teaches that two are better than one because they have a good reward for their labour. Sometimes, people use this verse to teach about marriage. But to me, I see it as a signal to we believers to help impactful ministers spread the Word of God. How can we do that?

When you share the Word you receive with a friend, you not only minister grace to that friend but also help the minister of that Word reach people for Christ he (or she) may never encounter anywhere in the world.

Christians, if we’d stop holding on to the minor differences amongst ourselves and help impactful ministers spread sound Biblical doctrine in this world, we can reach more people for Christ in seconds. Unity is and will always be greater than division. Don’t just admire a labourer of God’s kingdom; help him, pray for him and share the message of Christ to others.

You’re a blessing.
