God So Loved The World

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” — John 3:16 NKJV

God first loved us. And through it, He sent Jesus to be the propitiation of our sins. Many times, we read John 3:16 so fast that we forget to meditate on the word “loved.” What exactly does it mean when the Bible says, “God so loved the world?” Does it mean God’s love for us has already ended? No!

Well, we all know the word “loved” in the Bible verse above is in the past tense. That doesn’t mean God’s love for this world was seasonal. It means it’s to its brim. In other words, God’s love for this world is complete, at its highest peak, and it’s also everlasting. There’s no higher level of His love for this world than it is currently. That is why no matter how bad humans behave, He still sends people to preach Christ to them.

God doesn’t love you any less than me. Lisa Bevere says, “God loves His children uniquely, not equally.” Friend, have you seen fake representatives of God’s love? Do not allow them to make you doubt God’s love for you. He loves you just as you are, not because of what you did for Him, but because He chose you.

If God had looked at how crooked this generation was (before Jesus came), He wouldn’t have loved us. Do not give up on the one you’ve chosen to love just because that person did something wrong. That person could be a life partner, a spouse, a child, or the church brethren. See offences as temporary chaff to be blown away by numerous corrections to be done in love. There’s so much good God has placed in people. See that in them more than their faults. Above all, listen to God.

You’re a blessing.
