God Rewards Anyone Who Intentionally Humbles himself Unto Him

[6] “Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God [set aside self-righteous pride], so that He may exalt you [to a place of honor in His service] at the appropriate time,” — 1 Peter 5:6 AMP

The child of God has the grace to humble himself under His mighty hand. How? By setting aside self-righteous pride and casting all his cares upon the Lord (see 1 Peter 5:7). But what good is it for God to place this potential in you without you using it for your advantage?

Jesus was (and still is) fully God on this Earth. However, He didn’t consider equality with God something to be used for his own advantage. He humbled Himself, even death on the cross (see Philippians 2:5-8). What a Saviour!

God the Father, seeing this humility in Jesus, exalted Him and gave Him a name above every other name. That is why demons flee when we, children of God who know our spiritual authority, command them.

God rewards anyone who intentionally humbles himself unto Him. 1 Peter 5:6 ends by saying, “…so that He may exalt you [to a place of honor in His service] at the appropriate time,”.

No matter how many things you’ve done unto God’s kingdom, don’t pride yourself in it. Give credit to grace for everything, casting all the cares before Him. And you’ll find security in God despite your challenges.

You’re a blessing.

Prayer:

Oh God, thank You for the assurance that You’ll exalt any believer who humbles himself under Your mighty hand. I renounce taking glory for what You’ve done through my life. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
