God has fashioned this world such that none is exempted from facing life issues. And unfortunately, some people teach others that in Christ, they’ll not face the issues of life. That’s a lie because Jesus said in John 16:33 (NKJV) that,
These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world, you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.
John 16:33 NKJV
Whether you come to Jesus or not, you’ll face the issues of life. The difference it’ll make if you’re in Christ (and discerning) is that you’ll gain spiritual insight into why God allows you to go through those afflictions. Also, you’ll receive the empowerment to go through them victoriously. Let’s briefly look at the life of Jacob.
His children lied to him that his beloved son Joseph was dead. So because of pain, he continued to house Benjamin out of love to the extent that it turned into overprotection.
There was a time when Jacob had to release Benjamin to go with his brothers to Egypt to buy food. Jacob fiercely hesitated to face this issue because he didn’t want to lose another son. Little did he know that releasing Benjamin would eventually make him reconcile with Joseph and also bring an end to their struggle for food during the famine for years.
Sometimes, we hesitate to face the same issues God uses to make our lives glorious in the end. If you asked God for strength, then He allowing you to face life challenges to come out victoriously on each occasion is the only way to prove to you that He has answered your prayers. It’s not God’s will to make you suffer afflictions. However, He uses them to empower you by giving you victory. Lean on God.
Prayer
Lord, I honour every issue You allow to come to pass in my life. Strengthen me and go through them victoriously, never forgetting that You’re with me always.
