An Ever-Active faith

But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.” - ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭8:26‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Every Christian has the faith of God in him even though it’s in different measures (Romans 12:3). Faith is operational but sustained by knowledge. Anybody who knows how God’s faith works end up walking in the realm of endless possibilities. According to God’s Word, there are two things you must do if you want your faith to be ever active in operation.

A. Expel fear

Fear exposes your incomplete trust in the abilities of God. When a storm arose and, the disciples woke Jesus up, He rebuked them not because they remembered to call upon Him. Instead, He did it because they were afraid. That meant the presence of Jesus in their boat wasn’t enough to convince them that they’d never drown.

B. Stay conscious of the God in you

1 John 4:4 says the God in us is greater than the one in the world. Never let the enemy suggest to you that God doesn’t care about your life. He cares far more than you can imagine. When you put your trust in your skill more than what God’s grace can do through you, you limit God to expand your impact. Even if you can’t see God working in your situation, be thankful that He’s working behind the scenes.

Call on God not only when you need Him but also for His power to turn things around in your life. Be conscious that God is always with you.

You’re a blessing.
