Call Upon the Lord

‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’ - Jeremiah 33:3 KJV

No man is all all-knowing. For this reason, there are more things to know each day. In a generation where people’s passion for knowledge is rising, it’s critical to check the channels you subscribe to receive content, especially in Christianity. That means you must filter the content you see, especially on the internet, and pay attention to those that benefit your life.

We thank God for the advancements in technology because it has made it easy to access Christian materials such as Bible-teaching podcasts, sermon videos, articles, and graphics. But there’s one principle we (believers in Christ) cannot neglect in our pursuit for knowledge. It’s called the practice of calling upon the Lord.

God answers prayers about situations. But He gives precise answers to people who ask Him questions about their issues. It’s good to present your requests before God. But when did you call upon the Lord simply to ask a question about your life or issues? There are things you don’t know. There are answers to questions no search engine can fetch from the web for you. You have to pray for God to reveal those answers to you.

Are you confused about a particular situation? Pray and ask God questions concerning it. He has answers to them. They are great and mighty before Him. When you pray, don’t just talk to God; talk with Him. Make your prayer conversational!

You’re a blessing.
