Believe God’s Word Is More Powerful Than Your Circumstances

“And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.” — Luke 1:38 KJV

Has God told you something will happen in your life at a time you didn’t expect, and you probably find it hard to believe? Mary, the mother of Jesus, was an example of this.

In the fullness of time, God sent Angel Gabriel to deliver heavenly news to her that Jesus, the Saviour of the world, would come to the Earth through her. And Mary had serious questions about it. Because,

  • She was a virgin. So how can a virgin give birth to a child without sleeping with any man?
  • She was betrothed to Joseph, and that meant her marriage promise would be at stake because of the baby.

The question Mary asked Gabriel is crucial in our generation: How shall this be? Because she asked the angel that question, Gabriel gave her more explanations about how God would make the vision happen. And after that, she was satisfied, which was noticed when she boldly declared: “Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word (Luke 1:38).

You’ve got to believe God’s Word is more powerful than your circumstances. Several life uncertainties may have surrounded you. But I assure you to probe deeper into God by asking Him more questions about how He will make what He had said about your life happen. Doubt your doubts!

May the Lord of peace give you spiritual sanity. Amen!

You’re a blessing.

Prayer

Father, I believe Your Word is more powerful than my circumstances. I choose to stand firm in believing in the efficacy of Your Word over my life. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
