Avoid Unrealistic Accusations

“[30] Do not accuse anyone for no reason—when they have done you no harm.” — Proverbs 3:30 NIV

Years ago, when our team comprised a few people, only one person was in charge of our ministry’s finances. Every money in our ministry’s coffers was under his care. But a time came I became suspicious of him without reason. Nevertheless, I kept my hold on the secrets to get unveiled with time.

Months later, he got caught red-handed embezzling a quota of the ministry’s funds for his personal benefit. He never asked the leadership for permission. Later, ministry leaders took all the funds from him; he eventually got sacked permanently. Our coffers are now safer under the care of the finance department of our ministry.

I knew there was a problem. But I had no realistic evidence against him. So I decided to allow patience to unfold matters. And that’s the exact thing Solomon tells us in Proverbs 3:30.

He says we shouldn’t accuse anyone for no reason – when they haven’t done any harm to us. In other words, we should avoid unrealistic accusations. Avoid creating premature trouble for yourself without any evidence against any suspect. Can I tell you something?

Time is a great revelator of mysterious happenings. To know the authenticity of something true, subject it to time and see whether or not it can stand its test. That is why the Bible is the Truth – because for over 2000 years, the words in Him (Jesus Christ – the Word) have always been the truth.

If you feel suspicious about something, maybe someone is interested in you, or someone is plotting evil against you, don’t concern yourself getting to know more rushingly. No! Let time reveal the true nature of the matter as you watch, pray and wait on the Lord.

You don’t have to live based on assumptions. Accusations are real. But before you dissolve an association that you have with others, get to know the reality of matters before making decisions.

You’re a blessing.

Prayer:

Father, in the name of Jesus, I pray that let the fire of time reveal every bad secret thing plotted against my life and ministry. Place me in the company of good people at the right place; that I may receive counsel from the wise alone in this evil age. Amen!
