A Wise Spiritual Investment

“Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain.” - John 12:24 NKJV

In Genesis 8:22 (NKJV), the Bible says, “While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease.” That implied that there would never be any harvest without seed sowing. Seed sowing is like an investment. You’ll not see its immediate returns, but over time, you’ll see how worthy it is.

God so loved the world that He gave Jesus (John 3:16). Jesus so loved us that He also laid down His life to bring many sons unto glory (Hebrews 2:9-10, John 10:17). He knew that for people to get access to the eternal life the Father has placed in Him, He had to die so that others will have Him in them (1 John 5:11-13). That was a wise spiritual investment. But do you know you can do the same for generations?

1 John 3:16 (NKJV) says,

By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

Connecting this Bible verse to John 12:24, any Christian who selflessly serves the purposes of Christ saves an entire generation from suffering a lack of divine knowledge. Your past may be too bad or dark to tell others. But when you become a believer in Christ, you have the capacity to change it for generations unborn by following Christ. Make a wise spiritual investment today by losing your life for Jesus’ mission.

You’re a blessing.
